We wanted a late night snack so we headed to Za3tar and Zeit at Mecca Street. The waiter was attentive and friendly [recommending items and advising on ingredients]. The food arrived very quickly, tasted good [had the tuna wrap], and was of a good portion. The seating area is comfortable and spacious and they had TVs showing a football game which for some of us was a plus. |

i went there with my friends to have breakfast , its good as always the food tasty the service good and fast and the prices is very good but i have one observation that the waiter always beside the table picking empty basket up the minute they get empty its a good thing but its get annoying when u have alot of them and every minute someone come and take it ... |

Invited some friends over for dinner last week, most of the cooking was done at home, but since the number of the invitees was a little bit more than we can locally (at home) handle we decided for some back up wraps from Zaatar W Zeit! I called around 1800 hrs and ordered three types of wraps: Chicken, Spicy Chicken and Tuna. Told them that I needed the food to be delivered at 2030 hrs. At 2024 hrs the delivery guy called and said he was at the doorstep of the house; food was delivered warm well boxed. The wraps tasted great, and left overs the next day tasted as good! |

I went with a group of people very late last night for a light and quick bite. I was surprised to see that it was fairly busy so late in the evening but 12 of us were seated fairly quickly. Unfortunately we had to wait about 20 mins after the menu was given to us for a waiter to take our order. The round of teas that we ordered came fairly quickly but the water was more warm than hot. The way they served the food made absolutely no sense. Couple people got their order within 10 minutes of ordering. Then 10 minutes later, everybody else's order came. Three of the items were things we didn't order and the cheese fukhara never came. We waited another 20 minutes for the remaining 3 items and the fukhara came a good one hour from the time the order was placed (after getting up and reminding and complaining to them several times). And when the fukhara came, we had to wait 5 minutes for a fork! The cheese was boiling hot and came with nothing to handle it with. We all ordered basic items like cheese, labneh, zaatar, etc. Nothing that required cooking (except for the cheese) so I'm not sure why they couldn't have brought the food at the same time. It was a complete lack of kitchen and time management. When we complained, the duty manager was very indifferent to our repeated complaints and made no effort to see what the problem was. When we complained to the waiter, he got very defensive and said it's not his fault and we don't have the right to blame him when the kitchen staff is to blame! When we said we are not blaming him personally and that we're addressing the restaurant as an entity, he still was upset and walked away! As for the food, I ordered arouss labneh which was supposed to come in sun dried tomato dough. It was freckled with what looked like zaatar with no sun dried tomato in site or taste. When I asked the waiter, he said this was the sun dried tomato dough (even though in the picture it looked reddish and didn't have freckled zaatar). Their dough has a hint of sweetness that I personally don't like for manaish in general.The plate of pickle I ordered on the side looked very limp and old. Everyone else seemed pleased with their food though. There needs to be some serious work on service and dealing with customers though. The flow of food and attitude of service was unacceptable. |

I passed by around 2:30 pm for a quick bite with my son. I really like the outdoor seating, very pleasant and conveniently partitioned from the street. Food was really good, I always enjoy their pastries. Prices are a bit expensive. However, I have a big complaint about the service. Waiters are very bored looking and do not know how to treat the clients. Not one pleasant word was spoken. Very dry. When I got my Pepsi, the waiter practically threw the straw at me. When we received the food, the waiter dumped it on the table. Not one word. When you go out to a restaurant, it should be a complete experience from the ambiance to the food to the service. If Zaatar W Zeit want to keep clientele, they should really do some serious training for the waiters. I am rating this a 6, because the service really ruined it for me. |

I so hate being hungry for a specific item and not know where to go and have it! Leaving the movies Thursday night I was dying for a cheese burger and yet couldn't think of anywhere to go late and have a good bite, desperate for food I decided to take some friends and go to Zaatar w Zeit!!
Getting there the place wasn't really full, I looked around and saw that my friends were seated already and drinks were served. That was great I though to myself for it would mean that food would make it to the table quick and we'll get to eat fast!
Looking at their menu there were too many options to choose from really, I was wondering (since I couldn't have the cheese burger I was lusting for) on whether to go with the wraps they have or order some eggs!! I ended up going with a chicken sandwiches which was really good!!
Service was also great up till the place got busy for a bit, after that the service just became really slow.
Servers were really nice and really helpful.
Need to find a better parking space for people willing to park their own cars Zaatar w Zeit!
