I'm normally a big fan of the Oobe burger and regularly recommend it to anyone who will listen. So one Friday, my husband and I were craving burgers so we decided we’d make the trip across town to Shmesani to lunch at Oobe. Now, this was a big decision in my house, because my husband is normally vegan and only allows himself to eat meat once or twice a month. So for this month, Oobe was going to be his treat. Walked in, and it was completely empty as usual, which is so sad, especially for Friday at lunchtime. But I think it has something to do with the décor. Because it’s so pink, purple and girlie, almost like a spa, it turns men off and they’d rather not come here. We were seated by a very friendly waiter, who took great care of us during our meal. We ordered the calamari and Oobe maki platter for starters followed by the Amigo classic burger and the Philadelphia burger. Calamari was very good, cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. Maki platter was fresh and went down very nicely. Now, here comes the disappointment. The burgers were not what we were craving at all. I’m not sure if the meat quality has been changed, if the chef was off that day, or what, but these were not burgers we’d come to expect from Oobe. The meat wasn’t juicy, was not seasoned properly and had a weird aftertaste. Even worse was the bland, pale and completely undercooked fries that found their way onto our plates. Is it so hard to cook great fries? Big big letdown and I’m completely over Oobe now. In the past I was willing to overlook the complete lack of atmosphere and expensive prices for their great burgers, but since that’s gone now, doesn’t look like I’ll be back anytime soon. |

Regarding the disappointment with the meat and fries, we assure you that both the chef and the meat quality have not changed, which makes the outcome as surprising to us as it is to you. We are investigating the matter as we speak and promise to get back to you soon with the reasons behind such a bad experience. As for the place being empty, unfortunately this weekend for lunch hasn't been busy probably because of easter holiday but we assure you that oobe is full every night and does have its lunch regulars especially on fridays which are usually busy. As for the decor, i guess this is a personal taste that we can not control. Still not convinced of the colors of the place, and again I'd say it feels like sitting in a spa, but then everything else during my dinner at Oobe last night was good! I think I'm into darkness for it feels so comfortable sitting at the dark atmosphere of Oobe! We enjoyed some really nice conversation where we all were able to hear one another while also enjoying the nice music of the place without the need to shout or yell. The place wasn't really packed, there were some occupied tables in most of the areas of the place. The service was good, the servers were around for most of the time. I had the Trio Burger which was good! I ordered my meat medium and it came just the way I wanted it. We also had pizza as a starter which was not bad at all. Over all it was a good time, good service and really good food! Thank you ATICO! |

OOBE MAKES THE BEST BURGERS IN TOWN! forget all other burger places,Oobe's burgers are juicy, tasty, and just right! Ambience is very different than any other fakherreddin place, and menu very diverse, which is great for picky eaters! Waiters are friendly and patient. I think it's worth all the money, at least you get value for your money! Personally, it's my favorite place in Amman! I rated 9 because there is always room for development, but for what it is now, it deserves a 10! |

My first visits was a bit late since i am a big fan of fakhereddine group and esp ex-nai Ambience and atmosphere were fabulous, music was so cool and funky , a bit loud . Waiter - Ibrahim was the best waiter who serviced me ever , polite and helpful. but since it was a sushi night so we had sushi and it was good but not great as we used to have at nai or other fakhereddines rest Place was almost full and the buffet was very small ( just a small corner and when i went to fill my dish at almost 8:30 it was empty, literally empty they re filled it but refilling must be faster than that) hopefully mealadvisors will post my comment since they only do for positive ones although they mention the word criticism :) |

Decided to give Oobe another chance, and they surely proved themselves. The food was delicious, and the service was perfect! Our waiter -Ibrahim- was really helpful, kind and friendly. Looking forward to going there again and trying something different. |
